Slovenian who has been living, studying, and working in New York City for the
last 16.5 years. She earned her MA in Liberal Studies at The New School with a focus on women studies
through the lens of history and sociology, and was a teaching assistant for
undergraduate courses in women’s intellectual history. As a linguist, Ms.
Stemberger frequently interprets for Slovene
diplomats at the United Nations. Her roots, however, are in modern
dance; she was trained at the Alvin Ailey
and Martha Graham schools. Ms. Stemberger has over 13 years of experience as
a linguist, and is fluent in English, Slovene, Croatian, Bosnian, Serbian,
with a good comprehension of French. Through her work, Ms. Stemberger acquired
expertise as translator, editor, interpreter in medical, pharmaceutical, and
legal fields, as well as diplomatic affairs; through her studies and
experience, she acquired proficiency in humanities, social sciences,
